Sniff -snort-sniff-snort-sniff-snort …………………………..
Yeah i know its annoying!!! Its something you have to do when u get up and suddenly realise that u have flu. Very annoying!!! irritating and incessantly boring to put up with for a whole day. To top the cherry I had pain in my throat too.
So I made a few quick decisions. Quick and decisive !! Thats the way to go about it really.. They went something like -
1. I am not getting up at 7:30 today , no matter whatever resolutions I might have made at the beginning of the sem.
2. No Classes today. Okay!!! maybe that was the first and the quickest of all of them. But dont blame me , even a fit and healthy guy can look like a Medical Fuck-Up after attending 5 back to back CE classes. No way I was going to suffer through them with a jammed nose and hoarse throat.
3. I am going to pretend to look like complete shit and watch soaps and movies all day leaving my neighbors to do odd jobs for me like bringing up food to my door.
I ended up sleeping through the morning till 11 am , then swallowed some hot tea and snacks from the canteen. Had a lab today , couldnt have missed it all in one day u see. So anyway , at about 2pm i sauntered through the doors of lab , again made a pained expression to my lab partner”I am sick today , u’ll have to do all the lab work (read Mazdoori ) today”. Well I couldnt sit all by myself for the whole lab , so I did the easy part , noted down readings and stuff. Came back from lab, swallowed a whole lot of tea and slept till 7 pm. sniff-snort-sniff……. the whole thing again, went out to buy some cough syrup and swilled it straight from the bottle. Watched some soap and a movie ‘Bourne Ultimatum‘ and ate some light food and swilled some more tea. The movie was pretty good by the way.
Here I am 2 am , cant sleep coz thats what I have been doing the whole day and writing this sub standard excuse for a blog. But dont blame me , After all I am sick today !!!!
